Who do you see when you think of church?
God’s people come in all shapes and sizes – all ages, abilities, colours, ethnicities, backgrounds.
Yet some might see the Church’s history as one that speaks of conformity, orthodoxy, even exclusion – somewhere you can belong… if you fit in.
Church for Everyone is a project where fellowships of all denominations can share their experiences of embracing God’s love and sharing Christ’s joy and compassion.
St James and Emmanuel is posting some of its experiences here with a view to joining with other churches as we learn from, encourage, challenge and inspire each other in reflecting God’s love in our communities.
Contact us if your church wants to contribute.
Let’s join together and share how we live out God’s love

No one image can capture the breadth of humanity.
We don’t want o simply be somewhere that just reflects who we are, but being with people with similar experiences and challenges can give the courage and confidence to embrace new friendship and boundaries.
Do you see people that look like you? Who do you see when you think of church?
